Biografía
Nacida en Toronto, Canadá, de padre americano y madre tanzana, Luttrell es la menor de cuatro hermanas. Habla un poco de francés y swahili. Comenzó su carrera como actriz a los dos años en varios comerciales para las marcas Pampers y Cadillac. A los nueve años, tuvo su primer papel protagonico en una serie de televisión. Su hermana mayor, Rachel Luttrell, es también actriz, más conocida por su papel de Teyla Emmagan en la serie televisiva de ciencia ficción Stargate Atlantis.
En 1998, fue nominada a un premio en "YoungStar Award" por su actuación en "The New Ghostwriter Mysteries" como Emilie Robeson.
