<p>I think that Steven only saw it, and that Steven has a personal connection withn Rose (having her gem and all) that the other Gems don't know about unless Steven told them. This would explain Rose reaching out to Steven, because Amethyst never mentioned it. </p>

<p>Maybe just MAYBE... it was Rose herself. but i doubt it. this was her garden remember? and it was also her healing spring but it was here before they lost rose. BUT, its still possible, and maybe Roses spirit or something tried to take advantage of the statue, and managed to make it reach out to steven for a few short seconds, but by the time steven got up to the surfce, the spirit had probably left the statue. and I dont even belive in my own theory. XD cuz like steven, I HAVE NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how to FEEL OR THINK about this.
