I dont agree with that, given the obvious gem reveal to be Yellow Diamond (you kno, the only gem to have been mentioned but not shown and integral for finishing the stranded on earth plot with Jasper and Peridot). <p>The thirst. The thirst got too strong! D: </p><p>I don't think that Pearls reason for fusing was solely about strength. Pearl is kinda lonely at times and since fusing has a romantic/sexual/ tone to it she just wanted some closeness with someone she admires like she admired/loved/whatever Rose Quartz. Doesn't really excuse betraiyng Garnet like that especially since she REALLY want's to get her hands on Peridot for the Frankenstein/Cluster thing.  </p><p>Also, is it me or does the show get more and more self referential? They already used the Crying Breakfeast Friends as a means of poking fun at themselves but never that overt and obvious as in Cry For Help. </p>

<p>I think thats why she is defective. </p><p>She has an total messed up personality. </p><p>And she  wants more , no wonder. She even risked the life of the others to fuse with garnet. </p>

<p>I really enjoyed the episode, it was very well done! And he revealed interesting things! </p>
