<p>Approximately 00:07:30 into the episode, the barking/screaming sound Amethyst makes, as well as her head rocking animation, are very similar to Fizzgig from the movie 'The Dark Crystal' (00:54:04.)
</p><p>Bit of a stretch, but the movie also features a moment (21:58) the protagonist, during a moment of doubt while trying to find a mysterious wise woman, becomes entangled in animate vines.

<p>Amethyst's "barking screaming" sounds are actually her talking backwards. Watch the clip again, and you'll see that she's actually saying something.
