<p>Not that it has much to do with this thread, Anyone else wondering how peridot knew how to read in english when she was reading the joke book? She spent very little time on earth up to that point, so unless the gems found some time to teach her, does homeworld write in english sometimes? </p>

<p>I'm going with the theory that modern human languages and scripts on SU Earth are derived from or at least heavily influenced by Gem. The war might have ended about 5500 years before "present", but that doesn't mean they hadn't been there for some time longer, and there must have been SOME minor interaction between the invaders and the primitively civilised locals (if the Gems turned up about 6000 years before present, that would have been in time for the early Egyptian period, for example...). </p><p>Also note how, except where necessary for certain plot points (or to allow decoration of ruins with stuff that looks like writing but reveals no secrets), everyone can speak and write the Universal Language And Script Of Ultimate Convenience (which is translated for our delectation and delight into whatever our own local tongue is, when we watch the show). Steven may not be able to understand CP, but she can understand HIM. </p><p>Whatever the tear in her mind is, it's gone from the schizoid type psychosis of the typical monster to something more like the aftermath of a minor stroke; memory is imperfect, speech is pretty much erased, self image is all askew, certain familiar tasks (including, it initially seems, writing) are suddenly impossible, and everything is strange and confusing. But if you're lucky you can still see, walk, understand others' speech, draw pictograms. </p><p>But, anyway, there's only one thing I (and hopefully, "we"?) really want them to translate: her <i>name.</i> </p>

<p>Hello, I duplicated your character charts to Windows Paint. They are currently unassigned and unnumbered because I want to study it without current speculations. But I really appreciate you taking the time to do all of that writing and sharing them with the fandom. </p>

I remember you having another file in relation to the character charts, what happened to it? </p> </div> <p>First question: Khanyo is spoken by Gems belonging to the YD court, and Atime is spoken that gems that belonged to Pink Diamond (Now adopted by BD), as for what language WD's court members speak, they speak ANY LANGUAGE (which is why you hear them speak English) but they write it in either Cyrillic or the script that Centi wrote on (I'll leave the name to you), The reason why the obsolete Atime characters in BEESSSMOOOTTTTUUUUUUU are considered as such is because after the TRRRAAJICOOL shattering of PD, those characters were deployed. </p><p>Second Question: Chase.618 told me that it's Alien Lines, a font. </p>
