how could she be jealous
In Crack the Whip, Stevonnie was made, and they single handedly took down Jasper. And then they're celebrating while Amethyst says that they didn't need her, showing that she's somewhat jealous of Stevonnie defeating Jasper when Amethyst couldn't.

I find it hard to believe that Amethyst is jealous of a fusion. She said before that a fusion can make two people in a fusion stronger. So how could she be jealous of a fusion? That doesn't make logical sense. What I think is that she was disappointed in herself that she couldn't defeat Jasper on her own, and converted it into jealousy towards Steven in this episode when they were training together.

I agree. Amethyst was not jealous of a fusion, she was disappointed in herself that she couldn't beat Jasper. When she reformed, she shouted that she was back and she would protect Steven and Connie, however when she saw that Stevonnie had beaten Jasper, she must have felt useless. I actually don't think she was jealous of Steven, it came across more like self doubt. She believed that she was the worst fighter, however after that battle with Steven she seemed like her own self again. Amethyst will get her rematch against Jasper and she'll be ready next time.

Stevonnie didn't really beat Jasper, they were just able to hold their own against her until she retreated. Keep in mind that Jasper didn't really attack much during their fight so we haven't really seen how well Stevonnie can do against Jasper doing her best. But I agree that Amethyst wasn't jealous of Stevonnie themself, but the fact that they could at least hold their own against Jasper where as Amethyst got thrown around like a ball. And considering the fact that she's suppose to be this big, strong Quartz it makes sense as to why she feels this way. I don't think her feelings of self doubt she got from yesterday's have been resolved in this episode, and they will probably come up again in the near future.
