Is that very OOC or was he a monster all this time? </p><p>I think Bubbled would have been enjoyable if it wasn't following that Back to the Moon nonsense, but my suspension of disbelief is shattered now... How did the Crystal Gems find him? Why so late? How can he breath? </p><p>Well, nobody get space right in fiction, so it's hard to blame them for that, but I think these two last episodes were lazy writing for the sake of exposition. They could have done that at the barn, just discussing what Jasper said while watching the second annual Robolympics... </p>

<p>Considering the fact that he's half Gem, he could very well just have a lot of these things in his mind and that he's only doing them because that's what he imprinted on as a human, also, it seems like Gems enjoy things that they don't require in order to survive such as air, light, food, etc. </p><p>As far as OOC, I think he was fine, Steven had to do what he needed to in order to prevent himself from getting killed, or at the very least disembowled by Eyeball, and even before he sent her into space he was cracking jokes and using his more peaceful mannerisms to get convince Eyeball to stop. </p><p>And to add, Steven Universe in and of itself is riddled with many things that defy physics, sure, sound doesn't travel in space, but lions don't travel through multiple dimensions. :P </p>

</div> <p>The Gems found Steven even though he managed to go beyond the asteroid belt, maybe that could play a part, another thing could be the general theme of the episode, Rose had to break her own rules for the good of the Earth, hence why she shattered Pink Diamond, like his mother, Steven had to make sacrifices for the good of the Earth, and that was getting rid of the Rubies to make sure Yellow Diamond didn't have confirmation of the Crystal Gems' whereabouts and continued activity. </p>

<p>But all of that makes no sense, the Rubies were captured, they had no reason to come back to the Moon in the first place! It drives me crazy... </p>

Could Rose have shattered Pink Diamond during the answer? I mean Rose has never been seen without her dress and notice that all Gems wear a diamond shape color of their diamond. Rose does not. So could she have shattered pink diamond before the answer?

<p>The rubies are not dead. Lapis showed that gems are capable surviving in space, steven never actually poofed the Rubies and this show has a record of that unless you see the gem actually being poofed, that Gem is likely to reappear later in the show. </p>
