Our pearl was made for White Diamond ( All gems are made for something) but WD abandoned her because of a defect (Jasper said that the pearl is defected), so it's Pink Diamond received her and when she was shattered pearl joined to Rose, which explains why pearl it looks like it belonged to but WD has PD symbol on the uniform, What you think about this ? </p>

<p>I used to think Pearl was Pink Diamond's Pearl. Pearls are made to be pretty, it seems logical they can change color while reforming. <p>So it seems Pearl was freed before Bismuth get bubbled. And I'm pretty sure Bismuth was bubbled before Pink Diamond was shattered, because shattering the Diamonds seems to be the point of her discord with Rose Quartz. So I think she belonged to some other Gem. </p>

So I think she belonged to some other Gem. </div> <p>Well, correct. All dialogue about Pearl's origin's and other Pearls on homeworld allude to them being subserviant... well, servants. That's why Pearl has so many OCD tendencies. She made made to serve, and belong to someone, but Rose was the first person she CHOSE to belong to, and that's why she mattered so much to her. Rose gave her a choice. Rose was likely Pink Diamonds, and perhaps while Rose was fighting Pink Diamond, Pearl was fighting Pink Pearl. I think that'd be an awesome split-screen, two-way battle to depict, wtih Rose arguing with PD about imperalization and Gem's freedom, and Pink Pearl arguing with Pearl about the purpose of a Pearl. I can see the Crewniverse doing something just like that. </p>

<p>I wonder if early in the colonization of earth, WD gave PD our Pearl as a gift. Mainly as a substitute until PD could manufacture her own Pearl. I imagine running a colony could be a tedious task. WD would see it as a logical temporary solution to help a new Diamond in running her colony.  </p>

<p>Pearl only needed Earth to be free to remain free, permanently. A slave under the US system that escaped to the American North could be reclaimed by his or her master. Many people were "reclaimed" under mistaken identity, or a "who cares about their real story, they are supposed to be slaves" attitude. </p><p>There might be someone out there who was a trusted right hand of PD, who traveled around  (Pearl had traveled alot) carrying Pink Diamond's symbol to show that relationship. They may still think that they have a claim to that runaway, who stayed free in the way of a runaway in the North. </p><p>Bismuth was gone before the contact with Homeworld was broken... (which would be like her getting to Canada) but B and RQ having Pearl repeat that she belonged to noone would be vital in reframing her mental outlook. Pearl telling Amethyst that she could be proud of being the one good thing to come out of what happened in the Kindergarten didn't stop Amethyst from nearly having a mental breakdown when she was thinking about her origin in relation to Jasper's. </p><p>If her "owner" hadn't been shattered, that routine with Bismuth to me would be more meaningful. Garnet was told she was okay as she was, not disgusting, not an act punishable by death, soon after she was formed. Possible centuries as a slave without the support of an internal relationship and without future vision kicking back in would have been hard </p>

Pearl is white, like White Diamond, and has her gem on her forehead, like White Diamond. I think Pearl either escaped or was disowned by White Diamond. </p><p>Either that or she isn't a pearl belonging directly to a diamond at all. Pink Diamond's pearl would be pink and have her gem on her stomach, just like Pink Diamond. </p>
