<p>Since Steven Universe is set on an alternate Earth, the locations have alternate names such New Jersey being Jersey and Nyc called Empire City. This makes me think of alternate location and official country names. These are some personal hypothetical examples I came up:

</p><p>Jersey (island) - Great Jersey
</p><p>Las Vegas - Glitter City
</p><p>London - London Great Wen
</p><p>Alternate Country Official Names:
</p><p>Russian Federation - Federation of Russia ( In this version, it is two chunks of land divided by a gulf.)
</p><p>People's Republic of China (PRC) - Commoner's Republic of China (CRC)

<p>Guys the most important thing we need to remember is that not every country speaks english. and this i have some good names however they sholdnt be offensive:

</p><p>Phillipines: Maharlika
</p><p>better if they used the ancient names of certain countries
</p><p>Also some alternate names in english:
</p><p>Anglia (Great Britian)
</p><p>Euroland (European Union)
</p><p>Afro States (Africa)
</p><p>Ivanovskyland (Eastern Europe)
</p><p>Can-Am (Americas)
</p><p>Ching Ching land (Asia)

<p>Brasil and Australia doesn't seem to have different names.
</p><p>Countries are seemingly fine, but the cities seems to have pretty different names.

Also, for me personally, I still believe Russia would be two chunks of land divided by a Gulf because in our world Hawaii and Alaska are states that are not connected to the US mainland. Alaska is separated by the country of Canada while Hawaii is separated by miles of ocean water. Also in our World, Russia has a piece of land called Kaliningrad Oblast, that located between Lithuania and Poland and it's officially part of Russia, I'm not kidding look it up. This is why I believe Russia in this world would be two chunks of land divided by a Gulf. </p>

<p>These are some intresting name choices. But as for Glitter City, I think Empire City is already sort of a hybrid of New York City and Las Vegas. And I think Paris was an inspiration too. </p>

<p>Siberia will still be Russian. It is called Colonisation. About China's name I'm sure it wouldn't. There are two choices: China remains nationalist so it is the Republic of China, or the socialist take over as in our timeline and form the PRC or Socialist Republic of China.
