I don't hold as much against them, as they were merely exercising Aquamarine's will.

Anyway, I think this is because, unlike the other Gems we were introduced to over the series, they did not speak or convey much emotion, so we didn't really get a good feel about their personalities. As intimidating as they were (trapping captives in a fused body, nearly crushing Jamie), they did not leave the impact Jasper did in her debut, which is why I find her more intriguing and menacing. And despite the latter, she does have vulnerabilities we can all relate to, so her character is more complex and compelling while the Topazes at the moment appear one dimensional in comparison.
