<p>Am I the only one here who noticed that Garnet said that Rose Quartz had shattered Pink Diamond even though only a few episodes ago, it was pointed out that she couldn't have done it? </p><p>And Steven didn't even question it??? </p><p>Did I miss something here? Did Steven forget or was planning on bringing it up on a later date? </p>

<p>Steven probably had his reservations but kept them to himself to avoid complicating the situation with the Off Colours. </p>

<p>Steven said something like "Oh, but i saw PD, she's alive lol", but yeah, he hasn't mention anything important about the trial to the CG </p><p>Remember is Steven who we are talking about </p>

In that case Garnet knowing Bismuth means she joined before the shattering, but we don't really know when Bismuth was bublbled either. However, in the episode "Bismuth", I would think Bismuth would have said something like "Oh, it was alright for Rose to shatter Pink Diamond, but if I suggest shattering other Gems, then I am the bad guy?" if she had known about Rose doing that. </p><p>So it is possible to argue that Garnet joined before the shattering, but it is still just speculation. </p>

<p>Pink's "death" marked the end of the war, with the Diamonds recalling their troops (with some stragglers left behind) and them using the corrupting light. Garnet couldn't have joined after that because by her account, she partook in the war. </p><p>Also, remember Blue's temperament in Pink's chamber in That Will Be All, she was sad and full of grief. While the Blue Diamond in the Answer, was still very calm as if nothing of note had happened. This suggests that PD was still alive during Blue's visit, which coincides with Garnet's retelling that Pink called on to Yellow and Blue when her colony started to rebel against her. </p><p>And yeah Bismuth, Garnet personally knew her but she was bubbled before Pink was "shattered", we know this because everyone seems to know about it except her. And we again know this because Pink's "death" occurred during the last days of the war. </p><p>The corrupting light wasn't so much as a calculated attack as much as it was an action brought about by anger ("<i>In a last-ditch attempt to wipe out the Rebellion, the Diamonds launched a direct attack against Earth, and in their fury, they used their powers to end the fighting once and for all.</i>") Hence why the recall of troops happened so quickly and suddenly with collateral damage of their own troops present. </p><p>Consensus pretty much says that Garnet joined before Pink's shattering but unless you literally want Garnet to say it, I guess we can just call it speculation. </p>
