Now the question nobody seems to be asking is... why did Yellow Diamond react how she reacted in "The Trial"? Could it be possible that she actually knows something that Blue didn't?
I’VE been asking that question. (grin)
And I think you're right. She knew and was keeping it from Blue.
It wasn't just her reactions to Steven. Her entire behavior during the trial was suspect. She kept trying to skip the proceedings and jump to execution. She’s trying to prevent Steven’s (i.e. Pink/Rose's) testimony.

There were two reactions that I thought were "tells".
When Steven first yells “I did it!” Yellow gasps and looks off-balance, not Blue. Why? She thinks he’s going to spill the beans, confess to the ruse, and she’s bracing herself.

Later, when Blue Zircon points and shouts "Someone like one of YOU!", Yellow's not actually angry. She stands up with a look of sad resignation. That’s a big tell. She deliberately poofs the Zircon with a finger but it's not until Green Zircon gets cute that she gets enraged. A disaster just happened and the little sh-t is celebrating?
Notice Blue Zircon only said it was "Someone like one of you”. This is less than a direct accusation although it was dramatically framed to give that impression. All it did say was "What happened couldn't possibly have happened without a Diamond. That’s been covered up, which also couldn't have happened without a Diamond either". For Yellow that's the ballgame as far as keeping the truth from Blue. There’s no answer to the Zircon’s logic and Blue's not going to be satisfied until she knows which Diamond that is. That's why Yellow was sad not angry, and that's why she had to stop the Trial. It was probably too late but she couldn't let it go any further. She still gets a taste of what’s coming from Blue going forward, pleading one last time to just execute and be done and that its all pointless.

There are a number of possible reasons why Yellow might have wanted to keep the truth from Blue, but there's one that really stands out. Since Pink wasn't shattered and was in fact Rose, then she was still alive on Earth during the corruption attack. That’s potentially devastating knowledge. Whichever diamond pushed hardest for that attack might have a lot to answer for. If Blue, then Yellow might want to protect her from realizing what she did to Pink. If Yellow she might want to protect herself from Blue finding out. Or maybe she just wanted to sheild Blue from the the pain of learning that Pink betrayed them and let them think she was dead. Finally the longer she kept the truth from Blue the bigger a betrayal of trust it was going to be if Blue found out so the motivation to keep the secret grew.
