<p>Rhodonite is the fusion of a Pearl and a Ruby, and Padparadscha is a Sapphire. So would they create a Sardonyx if they fused?

Gems don't name themselves. Amethyst hadn't named herself. She was created as an Amethyst

</p><p>As far as we know, all the fusions named themselves; Garnet and Rainbow Quartz didn't have names when they first fused, instead being referred to a 'fusion', if referred to at all.

</p><p>And a Malachite fusion wouldn't name herself Ruby. That's the gemstone they have.

<p>According to the 18th podcast, Garnet NAMED HERSELF, after the gem she resembled. And smokey didn't name herself smokey because she remembered it (as a smokey quartz fusion doesn't exist), she just came to the conclusion that an amethyst and a rose quartz makes up a smokey quartz. </p>
