It just sounds like "mamamamama" to us because Steven can't understand it. If he got a phrasebook for whatever language they're actually speaking then we may actually get to hear it.

<p>Pretty sure it would be towards the moment when all mysteries surrounding Gems, Homeworld, Steven's powers etc. get resolved. They created a lot of fan theories by teasing Onion as something mysterious, they'll probably want to do a little more of that first. This would be like the longest joke setup ever, the time has to be right for the punchline to land.
</p><p>Btw i think if you're right, then the languange could be familiar to many/most inhabitants of Beach City (definitely Connie) but not Steven simply because he never went to school. Nobody other than Steven seems bothered by Onion and his family. So i think everything about Onion's oddness could just be Steven's perspective amplified for comedic efect.
