<p>As a first thoughts kinda thing, That was the most intense the show’s ever gotten. I was shaking. I’d heard fans say “Oh, Steven will shatter Jasper” as just a hypothetical, but to see it actually happen- Steven murdered somebody. </p><p>The intensity of the attack, Jasper’s fear, the cut to the house and Steven’s desperation- that was done MASTERFULLY. I’m not even mad that Steven’s first attempt to save her worked. The point was never to kill off Jasper, or to even make us think she would be. The impact this event has on Steven is astronomical, and I’m excited. </p>

<p>It sure was surprising, I never thought we would see someone get shattered in the present. </p>

<p>My heart was racing when I saw that scene! It was so intense! But I'm going to be honest. I...kind of wanted Jasper to stay dead. Not because I hate her (Jasper is a great character), but I think that if she stayed dead, Steven would feel even more guilty than he already did. If she was shattered for good, then the ending would've been even harder to take. I can just imagine Steven putting Jasper's shards together, putting them in the bath, and nothing happening. I can just imagine the episode ending with Steven letting out a loud scream with a black screen. </p>

<p>Also, it confirms that shattered gems can be saved, but I always thought once a gem was shattered, you can't save it. </p>

<p>my heart exploded into 100000000 gem shards that can't be healed, even with the diamond auras and steven's tears. Like, I was expecting it, but I wasn't expecting it? IT WAS CRAZY!!! I WAS SHOOKETH! And now more trauma for Steven :D </p>
