<p>While I strongly belive they are friends, Pedophilia is the wrong excuse for this ship, as rose quartz is thousands of years older than greg yet they still got together and had our favorite boi, steven.  </p><p>I respect people who ship these two however, and I leave it in the hands of rebecca sugar to decide what she wants for her show. as for what I think, I doubt this ship will be confurmed, but in my eyes stevonnie is good enough for the series. </p><p>still, I smile when ever a moment with steven and spinel comes up, they are good friends but Steven treats her dismissivly most times. I uphold respect for people's opinions and I'd also like to hear what everyone thinks about the ship.  </p>

<p>Yeah, but Greg was a grown adult in his 20s when he got with Rose, as opposed to being 16 (a minor) like Steven. So, that's not really a good comparison. </p>

<p>gems don't age but they are made with adult-level intelligence and knowledge so they are basically mentally adults, while steven is a minor. greg was an adult when he met rose. so the stevinel ship is pedophilic and thus problematic. but yeah it's fine to see them as friends although in homeworld bound steven seemed a little mad at spinel lol. </p>

<p>it's not okay to ship steven (who is 16) with spinel (who is over 6,000 years old). </p>
