I can't decide whether Spinel's feelings towards Steven are Platonic or Romantic 

I'm pretty sure Spinel just thinks of Steven as a really close friend. 

I'm not saying Steven returns the feelings even if she did have romantic feelings for him. 

So uh, what do you think?

Of course, I agree with everyone, But I also must side with some thoughts however, is it really clear to predict steven age as a normal human, people tend to everlook the fact that he is part gem, I dont know if this effects his age or not..as for now, I suggest keeping an open mind and looking into it instead of just assuming it pedophillia. as most non-shippers would do with this ship, Even I tend like stevonnie more than this ship, but I like to get a shippers personal outlook on this, to get both sides of people's belief and points of view, I'm going to leave my statement here as of now. and look further into this before deciding that this is pedophillia. Another subject I find strange is that Spinel in her previous form looks a bit like a child same with Amethyst's past form, While gems don't age when they reform it certantly looks like they grew a bit...

Well, to begin with, for it be be pedophilia, Steven should be below 13, as per definiton. And age of consent in the general area where SU takes place, Maryland, is 16. Plus, Pink Steven is technically the same age as Pink, so at least 20,000 years old, regardless of him being seperate from Pink or not.

@RallyAllyCat spinel changed to be more edgy looking, and acting (until shortly after Change), because of how her abandonment emotionally impacted her, and it's shown in future that she's still a bit immature. and amethyst was overcooked so she came out the way she did, but the first time she reformed she must have taken time to give herself a new look. it doesn't really equate to mental growth. it was confirmed in the "how are gems made" short that gems totally skip childhood and stuff, and we know gems are made with adult mentality, even the most immature-acting ones. spinel is a neurodivergent-coded character and there's no need to infantilize her.

@Thorndrum pink steven is a new OS on the pink diamond gemstone that is based on steven but mostly emotionless, so while i get why u bring it up, the actual age of the gemstone isnt rlly relevant; human steven is virtually always fused with his gem half anyway, and steven is still a human minor. also we're using the word "pedophilia" informally as a general term, to refer to intimacy between adults and minors in general (like how the term "minor attracted person" is used) which is considered grooming and is bad.

plus su doesn't take place in the real state of maryland, it takes place in the fictional state of delmarva. and dang its 16? 16 is low compared to the usual age of majority of 18.

Under no circumstances should characters who are minors (under 18) be shipped with any Gem.
