<p>Could this monster be Snow Flake as mentioned by Bismuth? I think that this one is and my theory for this monster's past is that the gem was guarding the shooting star as ordered by Rose, for whatever reason, and remained there until the Diamonds used their weapon to corrupt gems which was used around the world.  </p>

<p>You see that the Ice Monster's gem looks chipped (A piece broken off) and after it got defeated... Her gem floated...?
