I'll be totally honest, you look at their behavior, and you can't deny they like have something, or at least something that could consume for friend's bodies, requiring you to take them to the top of a hill, causing them to see the sun and blossom into something. People I know who are against Stevonnie have three primary arguments.
- The age difference. Yes, while two years doesn't sound bad, Connie is still technically a child, being 12 years old, and Steven is what we call an early teen. Give it four or more years, the age gap won't be as bad. I side with this argument for the sake that their relationship will grow as they grow more.
- They're not affectionate enough. I don't quite get this because I'm not an affectionate person and would prefer an intelligent discussion about mutual interests (like Steven and Connie's interest in Dogcopter and all the animes and books and other such) rather than a steamy make out session.
- The species differences. This one can be divided into more categories, but the overall concern is Steven's presumed immortality. Steven can resurrect people. Personally, I don't think Steven is going to leave Connie because she'll die in about half a century, if anything, he'd resurrect her, or live on without her and cherish the memories he had of her.

I mean, that really depends on how we're defining canon. Since the original poster was asking whether or not they were a couple and such has not been proven on the show, they are not canon in that sense. <p>However, if we're defining canon two characters that love each other, Connie and Steven is canon, as they mutually love one another even if that love isn't quite a romantic love, yet. </p> </i></div>

Their relationship will become more significant, after all those endless relationship development throughout the show so far. This is something Full Disclosure and Sworn to the Sworn have been foreshadowing. Definitely, it'll be intense. </p><p>
