What bugs me is the scene at the big donut, I understand lars being attracted. But I would have thought Sadie would be jealouse. Or is the aura used in the donut apart Stevonnie's powers or just simple anime affect.

Oh you mean why Sadie was blushing and acting weird too? It's a little thing called Social Magnetism, it has nothing to do with sexual attraction and a lot to do with Social attraction. Beautiful people are in a league all their own, or so they say, and even I, as a (semi) grown man, could be swayed by a very very attractive male. Why? Because they exemplify everything that is considered "desirable" by society and thus we want to attain that even by mere association. Its really rather primal and happens on a subconscious level.

We want to impress such beautiful people, we want to be their friends and be valued by them. The Greeks actually had a lot of thought into this as they sculpted the "Greek perfection" human forms. Stevonnie resembled a lot of that: Tall, perfect skin, curly long hair, youthful and full athletic build.

So again, its not that Sadie is gay, bi or at all sexually attracted, its simply that people like Stevonnie have an effect on our brains that causes us to want them to like us, so we get flustered and act strange, male or female, it doesn't matter. The human mind is a crazy thing huh?
