The Lapis one seems a bit far fetched. So far, gem objects don't really hold a too-important role yet. Maybe it should be something like, "What is Homeworld?"

I was thinking of normal types being mirrored to humans, as they aren't usually very powerful. That's why I wanted Greg to be a normal type, and Steven to look and act like a normal type, but can evolve into other types.

Yeah, I agree. Why such a big deal? I mean, there is an entire species that uses female pronouns, so there was bound to be LGBT relationships.

Steven Universe Characters As Pokemon?

I've been thinking about it for a while, and here's the list I have so far: Garnet: Lopunny Pearl: Kirlia or Meloetta Amethyst: Purrlion Steven: Eevee Ruby: Riolu Sapphire: Bunneary Lars: Aipom Sadie: Audino Connie: Skitty Greg:? I've been trying to find a NORMAL TYPE Pokemon that fits his personality. Someone please help me find a normal type Pokemon to be Greg! I'd prefer a normal type only, but a half normal type would be acceptable if it fit Greg enough. Please help!

You know those high school gems art by Hilary Florido? I think that might be hinting at something. You see how Jasper isn't in any of the art after the events of JailBreak? But Lapis and Peridot are? I think that everyone who is an ally to the CG (the good guys) appear in the high school gems.

oh haha don't worry! tbh it was bound to get a huge amount of replies considering its apparently controversial content. </div> Not to mention that it was getting off-topic, people filling the thread up with discussions that don't even relate to the topic...For some reason, a discussion about if Pearl loved Rose on a romantic level turned into an argument about the possibility of Pearl or Lapis being romanticly interested in Steven.

I think the outcome could change as the series goes on. As Pearl and Amethyst's relationship becomes more trustful and close, they should be able to not defuse under much circumstances.

I believe it depends on how powerful one of the component gems are. Lapis is probably the strongest gem in the show, possibly surpassing Jasper (who was defeated by Garnet, who Lapis almost defeated), so maybe Lapis wouldn't LET them defuse, no matter how much Jasper wanted to. Opal is different, as Pearl and Amethyst are pretty similar ,strength-wise.

Wow, I never thought of fusions amplifying the component gems' powers and weapon proficiency. That's a great point!
