<p>I think Gems was made by some magic. Indeed, they don't seem to be "alive". I think, at the beggining, in the Gem Homeworld, there were another species. That species used magic, and they gave "life" to gems, for an unknow reason ( may be to made them slaves, or guardians ). Then, they rebelled and are now some sort of conquerors. </p>

<p>Yeah totally ^^ ! </p><p>I also think that Rose made Steven because, due to his human part, he can resist to everything that hurt gems (cf. Gem Destabilizer ). Moreover, i'm convince that, when he will learn how to use his power, he will become as strong, or even stronger than other gems ! </p>

I totally agree, with the stipulation that it only started that way.

<p>First and foremost, i also fought it was more like Rose consider Greg as a pet, at least a little kid. But, with the episode "Lion 3", we must admit that they fell in love, at least Greg. Rose, since the start, seems to have some attraction for human. So... after all, we can contend that it was just some curiosity at the start ( a guy who want to go in space, and very fair ( he gave her a free T-Shirt ), then, this feeling transformed into some affection. However, it's not sure she loved him, may be she just wanted to create Steven for an experience or to see what being a human looks like. </p><p>Concerning Greg is perfectly the stereotype of a young boy who really believe in feelings, so i find it difficult to say that he wasn't in love. He wouldn't play with that. </p>
