That's not the point I'm getting at.

The point I'm getting at is that if someone is not a sock but we think they're a sock, we can use CU to spot that and not block them.

This has happened before.

"There was a case where a user claimed to be a sockpuppet of another user, for example."

If we had blocked them, that would have been bad.

I'd like to make a point I haven't seen really disscussed.

What if we think a user is a sock when in reality they are not a sock?

We somehow gather enough evidence for a block, and then surprise! It's not a sock.

Now imagine that same situation if the CU tool was involved.

We would find out that the user is not a sock before falsely blocking them.

Think about that.
