Haha, this is strangely appropriate, well done! Wanted to add to Pride: At first, Peridot felt too proud to accept the help of the Crystal Gems with the Cluster.

Now that you mention it, I think I do remember this grunting in the few animes I watched as a kid. It doesn't feel like a natural response to me, I kinda wish they'd stop it haha. Regardless, thank you for your replies (the non-grunting kind :P).

Characters are often grunting

I've noticed that the characters of the show often grunt as a general affirmative reply. They most often use it in serious situations. In >THIS< clip alone, Steven grunts at 1:40 and Garnet does at 2:25. I haven't heard people use this before, even in other series/movies. Can someone please explain it to me or provide a link that defines this vocal gesture? Does it have an onomatopoeia? Is it different than the much more common "mm-hmm"?
