Is Lapis Lazuli a Crystal Gem? To be honest, it's pretty confusing the way the show conveys it. She never says "I am a Crystal Gem" like Peridot or the others, yet she wants to stay with Steven and the rest of the Crystal Gems. What do you guys think? Is Lapis a Crystal Gem or not?

I think our season 3 intro will ome in season 4. Why? Well, when the Crewniverse was making our current episodes, the seasons were still 52 (?) episodes. CN shortened the seasons, so if the Crewniverse was planning for a new intro every season, there's going to be a new intro every two seasons now.

OMG. I just ADORED this episode. Pearl's song was just so sad and beautiful and touching, and I really loved how during Greg and Pearl's dance scene the color palettes looked similar to the one's at the beginning of The Answer. (Did anyone els notice this?) And I loved how Broadway the whole thing felt. Overall, I loved this episode. Definitiely on my top 10 list. Can't wait for Too Short to Ride!

Well, I haven't gotten a definate answer from anybody, so I'm just going to assume that it might be right, but I'm going to be a bit skeptical until I see some more of those marathon titles that they said would happen.

The Answer deserves the nomination. It was a beautiful episode, artistically and story-wise and almost made me cry at the end. I hope it wins!

Kinda. I was more going to say multiple ideas on who the fusion would be, and I would probably bring that up. IDK what kinda fusion Amethyst and Peridot would make.

Just tone down a little, I'm getting real annoyed that everyone is only looking foreward to "Too Short to Ride" just because "Amethyst and Peridot are going to fuse!!! OMG THEY LOVE EACHOTHER!!!" There is no hint that they will fuse with eachother in this episode. </div>
Well, if I say the "best Gem" is Amethyst, then it might be because I enjoy Amethyst as a character, and it might be the same thing for Peridot.
Anyways, that's not the point. If you don't like the ship, then it's really easy to avoid it. The ship, as much as some people hate to admit it, has real evidence, and that encourages shippers to fixate over small things that even I, a die-hard Amedot fan, think is kinda silly. (No, I don't think using a purple marker meant anything.) I mean, come on, if they were showing a clip of an episode involving specifically Lapis and Peridot at SDCC, Lapidot fans would be pretty excited. if professional reviewers thought Lapidot would happen, Lapidot fans would be pretty excited. And you know what? Amedot fans would be pretty pissed. I see where you're coming from. But let the shippers ship. I'm not telling you to stop shipping Lapidot, so stop telling us that we're too excited, because we have excuses.

I think Steven will be able to go to Funland, but I find it HIGHLY unlikely that a Steven-Gem fusion will happen anytime soon. And I think it would probably need something more than Funland to do that. I mean, we don't even know if Steven CAN fuse with gems yet. Why do I think that Steven will have to go to Funland with Amethyst and Peridot? Because the story is told from STEVEN's perspective and he has to be there for every scene unless it's a flashback. It would be extremely hard to write almost a whole episode where Steven can't be there. Also, the description says that Steven goes to Funland with Amethyst. So, it confirms that Steven that DOES in fact go to Funland. (Also- before I say anything, are we allowed to talk about the leaked marathon titles or no?)

True. Some fans are complete jerks. But it's not like EVERYONE on Tumblr, or anywhere really, are all bad. Actually, plenty Tumblr SU fans I've encountered are very nice an accepting. So stop stereotyping a whole fandom or social platform. Because you're never going to be completely right.

I apologize. I phrased it wrong. Yes. Character development exists, but I was trying to point out how even with the new episodes, Lapis and Peridot are still not a couple I can see AT THE MOMENT. Honestly? Right now, it's only a little better than a crack pairing. (Although, obviously MUCH better than before.)

Just a comment on Lapidot. How can they legitimately be considered a romantic pairing when Lapis can barely stand being in the same room as Peridot? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Lapis' and Peridot's interactions. I love the "wacky roomate" headcanons and the "best friends" headcanons. Just give them all to me. But they're no more than a BROTP. At the end of Barn Mates, Lapis just asks Peridot if she's alright. Peridot is overjoyed because she had tried so hard to be her friend and Lapis hated her. But that doesn't mean Lapidot is canon. It means Lapis, at the very least, tolerates Peridot. My mom sometimes watches SU with me, and she pointed out that Peridot wasn't really sorry for what she did to Lapis. She thought it was unfortunate that it happened, but she wasn't truly, genuinely sorry. I mean, c'mon guys. It took Peridot over an hour to write THIS: Sorry I interrogated you. You were just full of such useful information. That's a sincere compliment. Peridot. And it's implied that she took a relatively short time (considering Amethyst and Steven were still cleaning up that incident when Peridot came back) to write THIS: Log date: 7112. This entire planet is backwards. There hasn't been one instance of correct behavior exhibited by any one of these "Crystal Gems". I have concluded that they are all defective. But I am no better. I failed my mission and now I'm working with the enemy. And I can't even get that right. I have apparently "hurt" Amethyst's "feelings", which was not my intent. If I've damaged my standing with the best Gem here, then I've made a serious mistake. I'm still learning. I hope you understand. I want to understand. I'm sorry. Peridot. Facet 5. End log. Peridot gave a truly sincere apology (and really the first one she ever made in the series) to Amethyst in a short period of time (and when, arguably, she was a lot meaner) , when it took her and HOUR to write something that us viewers know is insincere. She was able to realize what she was doing wrong and felt really, truly sorry about it. And at that time in the series, it must have been a really hard realization for her to make. But her apology in Barn Mates? She's barely owning up to it, and that kind of apology wouldn't make anyone forgive her. So why did she give a more sincere apology to Amethyst? Maybe it was the situation, or her feelings at the time, or maybe she can just connect and understand Amethyst more than Lapis. I don't know. I just thought I'd bring this up.
