<p>No, but in too many birthdays he gets older. Like REALLY older. He's literally gasping for breath. So I think it's safe to assume his gem made him older because he wanted to be older, and then younger because what he really wanted was to be the same age as Connie. Ish. </p>

And Steven just streching himself out a bit? I'd call that minor. But he was more than a little inexperienced when he did that so... yeah you're probably right.

<p>Eh. Wait a minute! Rose shapeshifted a womb right? She would've had to hold that for NINE MONTHS! Amethyst barely managed to hold her form as Jasper for a day! So... the real reason Rose lost her physical form was due to the damage she sustained from shapeshifting for too long! OH MY GOD! MIND BLOWN! </p>

<p>Ooh! Remember when amethyst said "streching your body out for that long isn't good for you"? </p><p>Well... does that count as taking damage? Because he babied then! </p>

<p>Be  a pretty grim end to the series as well- Steven gets poofed to save his friends and Rose returns crying because she could see through his eyes and knew what would happen to him... like I said- grim. </p>

<p>And yet he can fuse with gems, despite not meeting Garnet's criteria- </p><p>"First you need a body that can turn into light, then you need a partner you trust with that light." </p><p>Yeeah... Steven isn't made of light... but he can fuse... I dunno. He's weird. But cool. </p>

<p>Imagine Rose's gem is the hard drive of a computer. It holds all the information and memories needed for the gem to operate, including it's dna. When Rose shapeshifted a womb, she combined Greg's dna with the dna she stored on her gem. When Steven was born, he inherited her gemstone, which still has some of her data stored on it- her shield and abilities- but Greg's dna means that Steven is his own gem. He isn't Rose, and his human dna might make it impossible for him to BE poofed. I mean seriously, a human poofing? HAHAHAA </p>

<p>I re-watched the episode, and Bismuth sounds really concerned when she says "wait- where is Rose?" Like she was worried Rose had been shattered.  </p>
