I have a theory about Centipeetle (Mother) and other Corrupted Gems. I was wondering what other people would think of Centipeetle being Aventurine. For one, Aventurine is resistant to all acids but hydrofluoric, magickally it's known for intelligence and love, is usually cut in a bead shape (gem cut), means "accidentally" (in reference to how Steven knocked the gem out of the bubble. Also, it's said to help with digestive problems which would explain why Centipeetle eats food where most gems do not.

Green Aventurine is the Gem of opportunity, and is a Quartzite gem that's quite rare. Centipeetle being a Quartz would explain a- the closeness in her hair (semi humanoid form when forming) to Amethyst and Jasper, and b- why she was so strong, taking so much damage before retreating to Gem form but also the ability to raise Centipeetles - something similar to Rose/Steven's ability to grow things to protect themselves. It's also good for diminishing anger.

Also Aventurine is meant to be good for eyesight, and as far as we known Centipeetle's gem placement is the eye itself, and I'm of the inclination that Aventurine is one-eyed like Sapphire.

I just think it's a good fit, given how the known Gems very well fit the properties both physically and magically of their proper gem namesakes.

Curious what others think of this, I'd like to hear of my headcanon.
