<p>The Futon Critic, the source for the Diamond Days episode titles in the Episode Guide, lists the entire arc as part of Season 5, with Battle of Heart and Mind being episodes 29-32. However, I would not call that definite by any means; IIRC it wouldn't be the first time SU has suddenly jumped from one season to the next in mid-arc. </p><p>If the previous reports that Season 5 is 26 episodes are correct, then Familiar would be the last one. However, there are also reports that Season 6 will be 32 episodes; it's entirely possible that Season 5 is being extended to match it. We just don't know yet. </p>

<p>One of the posts in the other thread suggests another theory: Among other things not relevant to this discussion, Lars gets to Earth and brings Bismuth & sword to Homeworld just in time for the final battle. </p>

<p>I think you're confusing Jungle Moon with its planet. Jungle Moon, like our Moon, was merely the observation post for the colony on the planet below. Though the planet had plenty of life in the flashbacks, it was practically destroyed when Stevonnie was there -- like Earth as a completed colony in the holographic model earlier in the series, but without Gem activity. The fact that Jungle Moon itself had life was of no consequence to the Diamonds; once the planet was depleted it was of no use to them. </p>

Simple: The colony destroyed the planet. Just like Earth woulda been destroyed if not for the rebellion.

<p>We know they will re-fuse as part of Alexandrite when the Diamonds attack. The question is, will they re-fuse as Garnet before that happens. </p>

<p>Since Rose poofed & bubbled Bismuth during the rebellion, I'm not sure if Bismuth even knew about Pink's "shattering" (though I could be wrong). If she learned of it during the episode "Bismuth", it was filtered thru thousands of years of legend and she probably didn't know it was with Rose's sword; Steven didn't know that till "The Trial" when he claimed to have used the Breaking Point and was told otherwise. </p>

<p>There is no official synopsis yet. The only information about it is from last night's episode: Steven & Helicopter Amethyst fly to Brooding Hill, where Greg & Ruby went in Greg's van. Beyond that and Sapphire seeing Ruby as a cowboy (or cowgirl?) in her future vision, all that's known about it is guessed from episode titles. </p>

<p>The closing credits that ran over the final scenes of this episode (as opposed to the actual credits that ran after the second episode) contain a song spoiler. It had every voice actor so far in Season 5 with no new ones (I initially noticed Joan Jett as Sunshine Justice flashing by), plus every song with vocals so far in Season 5 -- PLUS a song called "Ruby Rider" (lyrics by Jeff Liu, music by Jeff Liu & Stemage). There was no new song in tonight's episode, contrary to prior announcements. Given the storyline, I suspect we'll hear "Ruby Rider" in "The Question". </p><p>Apparently, those credits don't run all the way to "Reunited" because I don't see any other new songs; we know there's one more in either "Made of Honor" or "Reunited". With the date adjustment on "Ruby Rider", my premonition that "Reunited" will have a cover version of Peaches & Herb's 1979 hit of the same name -- if not actually reuniting Peaches & Herb to re-record it -- may well come true. </p>

<p>I'm a bit disappointed that Pearl automatically lost her inability to talk about Rose being Pink once Steven learned the truth; I thought Steven (as Pink) would have to release her from the command. But then I also thought the Pink backstory would cause Garnet to unfuse and they wouldn't find Sapphire till at least well into the next episode, if not later. Nice to see them building on "The Answer" this way by having Garnet inspire Rose to make it a real rebellion, but now it seems the big search will be for Ruby instead of Sapphire. </p>

<p>Actually, it IS related. Since we now know Pearl was Pink Pearl, that proves the video's point that Pink Pearl cannot be Rhodonite's Pearl. (That is, unless PD had multiple Pearls.) </p>
