By the looks of it apparently Peridot was sent to reactivate the Kindergardens (completely missed that in Warp Tour but I missed a lot of things she said. She was off screen) which is why everyone was freaking out, and is the reason Garnet, Pearl and Rose destroyed the warp, cuz their species was playing God, which made Amethyst. And likely created the Gem monsters seen in the show. If I had to guess the Kindergardens were either just to play God, or part of some type of world domination scheme.

And if anyone else already said what I'm saying here, sorry for being repetitive.

There's a thread explaining it in detail here: http://steven-universe.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:41302

Here's the cliffnotes version, two gems, asymetrical design, blue and red gem react to open the temple door for her, ect.

ReasonAndPearls wrote: This is the first episode I didn't like, and I'm seeing that several people agree with me.

For me, I was sitting on the edge of my seat, but not because of suspense. The episode freaked me out. First with Garnet's last move in the dance with Pearl; I was praying that Garnet would not 'do anything' to Pearl, because that's seriously what it looked like. Then when Stevonnie met Kevin. He had a very bad air about him. You could just tell. He seemed like the really dangerous type for a girl at a party, if you know what I mean. This episode was a little too weird and awkward for me. I got far too worried about the characters in this episode and it was hard for me to enjoy it; even the smile from Garnet. I didn't understand her excitement that much.

This is just speculation, but I think Garnet's excitment can be tied to the theory that she herself is a fusion gem. This goes along with what she tells Stevonnie, that they're not two people, not one person, but an experience. Because if fusions are experiences, then it would take one to know one. Didn't wanna repeatedly type in "experience" in that explanation.

Izzypoo999 wrote: A keytar's a fusion of a guitar and and a piano, and everyone thinks Garnet is a fusion so...

That really doesn't justify the fact that outta nowhere she's playing a keytar

So I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but was anyone else thrown off by the fact Garnet can play the keytar? That was kinda a "what the hell" in my opinion

Alright, I get that it's kinda a dire situation. I get that their ace in the hole isn't working. I get that the giant mass of bramble is bad. But is it just me, or was Pearl just spouting consistent Rose worship that was intertwined with her panicing. It got to the point where I had to tell the TV screen "keep your lesbian worshiping to yourself" or something like that. The ending kinda knocked out a lot of details. And in case someone asks, no that's not some type of insult or hate remark, Pearl just really needed a paper bag or something to breath into.
