I like to think it can be any rock or mineral personally. Especially considering things like a pebble or pyrite that people wouldn't usually consider to be crystals are gems in the show.
I think Birthstones are frankly really stupid. They include two forms of Beryl, two corrundums, and are very varying in terms of cost. I think the birthstones should at the very least be in the same price range between the months, right? Like- when am I ever gonna go on a casual trip to a gem store and walk out with a DIAMOND?
Oooh, it's based off of Peridot's character reference pose! Nice
Yellow is an absolute queen
@THATSYOURBUTT Yeah, but sadly a lot of the coolest rocks aren't birthstones
While it preserves human life, there's a much better way to do that.
All of the Zoomans were pretty I think. I'd say I just really like their outfits.
Another birthstone for December is Zircon
Halloween Diamonds
@Golden Cakez I'm everywhere
@Really Useful Hedgehog 2 Yeah, especially considering how humans function, I'm surprised that they didn't just riot because the human brain just generally seems to strive for new stimulus rather than that formulaic routine they had to perform every single day. But then again, it could just be that they're used to that, and after many different generations of humans, they likely would have evolved to not have as much of an issue with the craving for entertainment since they're surviving at the very least. But then again, I doubt anybody working on the show ever thought this deeply about it. It's just speculation.
Well, Sulfur is an element that is technically considered to be a gemstone. However, you could just be referring to Gems shown in the show.
I'd say it's quite clearly bad. As much as it's a "paradise," it just doesn't seem fulfilling as a lifestyle.
Cob darn it
Most of Pink's actions were as a result of being raised in an unsuited environment. And the gem responsible that could have raised her better was White.
I don't think White Diamond would even consider herself to need a Pearl. She might've just thought herself to be above the needs of owning a Pearl in the first place. When she did get a Pearl, Pink Pearl, she didn't even use her for service but more as a puppet.
I don't think the technicalities of Steven's birth was ever something that needed to be concerned about, mainly because it's a show aimed for younger audiences and I don't think that's something that the writers themselves would concern themselves with, especially if they couldn't incorporate it into the show. I'm personally more concerned by the whole theory about Steven's gem and the rejuvenator and if his gem was reset to Rose's gem during that timespan
Aww that's adorable!! I love the Cotton Candy Garnet design
I personally think that the episode "Joy Ride" is a masterpiece. It perfectly contrasts the first episode of the season and shows more of what Steven is going through as a character.
