Probably Sugar have said something about it and it's just lost in the internet, but if there were four diamonds, and these were primary colors but Pink Diamond didn't born red... there's probably more diamonds in diverse colors (maybe including red, the color what Pink Diamond wasn't able to get), planets and everything... example; when we got Emerald in the series, it just looked like she was a diamond but she wasn't (she has White's proportions and looks big, however, she isn't a diamond... but we can get the point.)
