—"Homeworld Bound" |
Aubergine Pearl (or simply Pearl) is a Gem that debuted in the episode "Homeworld Bound". She is a tour guide on Homeworld.
Appearance[]
Aubergine Pearl has all of the typical features of a Pearl, with a thin and flexible build and a pointed beak-like nose. She has lilac skin and violet colored hair that is styled into a bun. Her eyes are significantly different than that of other Pearls, being more slanted. Her outfit is also unique from that of other Pearls; rather than resembling a dancer's costume like theirs do, hers is more reminiscent of a guide's uniform. It consists of a cap sleeved charcoal grey shirt worn over a white mock-turtleneck. She also wears a pair of dark purple, high-waisted leggings as well as a pair of white boots. She wears what appears to be a nametag of some sort on the right side of her shirt. Her gemstone, a dark purple cabochon pearl, is located on her forehead (like the Crystal Gems' Pearl).
Personality[]
Not much is known about her personality, aside from the fact that she appears to be very knowledgeable about Homeworld's former society.
History[]
"Homeworld Bound"[]
She is seen giving a tour to a Peridot, Topaz, two Nephrites and a Sapphire in the Diamond Throne Room, ending the tour by telling the Gems to follow her to the gift shop.
Abilities[]
Aubergine Pearl possesses standard Gem abilities: bubbling, shapeshifting, fusion, regeneration, agelessness, gravity shifting, photokinesis, gem storage, and superhuman strength/durability. She also presumably has the same abilities as the Crystal Gem's Pearl has, such as a holographic projection, self-duplication, psammokinesis and nephelokinesis.
Unique Abilities[]
- Interdimensional Storage: Due to her gem type, is presumed that Aubergine Pearl is able to compactly store large amount of items inside her gemstone's special plane.

Trivia[]
- She is the fifth Pearl to be shown in the series overall, and the second to be introduced without an owner, after the Crystal Gem Pearl.
- Like all Pearls seen, Aubergine Pearl has a slightly different voice than other Pearls. Her voice is slightly deeper than the Crystal Gem Pearl or any of the Diamonds' Pearls.
- Despite being named Aubergine Pearl, her color scheme is more plum to purple in color.
