I, like most people, found similarities with Sadie's Song and Nightmare Hospital. Mostly with the mom characters. But what I like about it is the different ways they show it.
Instead of an overprotective mom that doesn't want her daughter to do dangerous stuff but learns to accept it, we've got a mom that tries too hard to make her daughter happy and learns not to push her daughter into things she doesn't want to do.
It shows that there's more than one way to not properly raise a child. Being overprotective isn't the ONLY negative thing a parent can do. Sometimes they can be too suppotive. I'm really glad they showed that.
P.S. sorry if this is worded weirdly. I'm pretty tired. I hope you still understand where I'm coming from.
