You shoot it...then it splodes
Metaphor dude, metaphor.
I just realized that corrupted gems have it much easier then humans that turn into zombies, flood, rakghoul.becuase if you think about if you turn into a flood or rakghoul or a zombie the only mercy your going to get is sleeping with the fishes and for the corrupted gems the only mercy they get is being bubbled so yeah corrupted gems have easy and they have hope for turning back to normal.
I don't think it's good to dismiss them as having no hope of recovery. Centipeedle was able to partially recover thanks to Steven.
I'm saying that that corrupted gems have hope and have it easy then humans who turn into abominations like zombies or flood because onces you turn into the undead there is no hope for you like no joke
I'm mean have you seen the walking dead?
Well that's a given considering that humans don't have shape-shifting powers. We only have one form and when that one gets messed up (not even turning zombie or anything, but losing a limb in an accident or something) we're screwed. Gems on the other hand can get poofed and such: any kind of damage to their form is much less severe.
You know what would be a cool story arc in Steven Universe? if someone or something is trying to wipe out magic in Steven Universe which affects all gems Because gems get there powers from magic and if magic where to be purge in Steven Universe then all gems will lose there abilities which means gems will no longer be capable of shapeshifting, fusion, hydrokinesis, flight, summonig weapons, ect and this story arc will be callled the death of magic what do you guys think?
If Steven has psychic powers can theoretically place psychic barriers in minds of gems allowing them to block things like abilities and memories
In theory yes however in practice the answer is likely no. He hasn't shown any kind of manipulation of minds beyond suppressing them to assume/possess a body and basic control of dreams which is common of lucid dreaming.
