2. She hates Rose. After she realises Steven is not Rose, then who knows.
3. Then you are basically saying Centi is the same as Lapis. "Was fred from bubble/mirror to Steven heal". And the characters had pretty diferent debuts
4. Peridot was able to defeat it. Freaking PERIDOT. Just take the CG and combo her if anything goes wrong.
1. It's pretty clear that Jasper hates BOTH of them now. Rose for what happened to Pink Diamond, and Steven for keeping her out of her Lapis power trip. Even IF Steven finds a way to heal her, I highly doubt she'll return the favor.
2. True, but from what I've seen, that's not what he/she was referring to. It was about how trying to reform another corrupted gem at THIS point (especially since Garnet's made it clear the problem's mental and not physical) would be repetetive.
3. Are you serious? Peridot defeated her via a fluke! Granted, a very helpful fluke, but a fluke nonetheless! Peri's made it clear that she still has much of her power to master. Sorry, but much as I like Peridot, I don't think lightning (or in this case, a metal dagger) will strike twice.

^^^^^^this
Thank you
why can't they unbubble bismuth and try to talk to her? She's not corrupted, she can think, she's their friend and they don't even try unbubble her and talk to her
Considering this show does harbor some harsh realities, one major reality that Steven is gonna have to understand is that not everyone can be saved, I mean the frigging Ruby tried to stab him after he saved her and rose killed pink diamond in war because it's war, doesn't that tell you something?
Well, that and the Diamonds didn't really give Rose a choice in the matter, but I get what you're saying. And thank you! I was wondering when someone would say that.

1- Yeah, have to agree on that
2- And who said that it has to be at this point anyways? Healing her now would be really bad for the series
3- What I mean is: Peridot, with a recently-discovered power was able to stab Jasper and poof her. I think war veterans can defeat her as well
Oh, did I also mention? Jasper's VA appears in lots of photos on the studio when they are posting. This confirms she will be healed (Not confirmed to be redeemed tho. But just to shut this "Steven won't heal her" discussion)

2. Eh, fair enough.
3. Like I said, that was likely a fluke. A lucky shot brought on by desperation; you know, like when she saved her tablet from a wash at sea. I'm not saying she won't master it, nor defeat Jasper with it again (if anything, I'm intrigued as to where they go with this newfound metal-bending), I'm just saying NOW, it's too soon to assume she can do that again.
hmm...
...welp...I hopped back on these threads just to see people argue...again
...see you boobs later
I see two possibilities for Jasper:
-She gets healed (read that as an amazing technique that fixes her mind from inside) and becomes the Vegeta of SU. As @AquaticPanic has mentioned, Jasper's VA is frequently seen with the others; since the Crewniverse is commonly months ahead of the current timeline, it's safe to say that she will come back;
-She's not healed at all due to unexpected complications, but is freed by the Crystal Gems, becoming the team's dog.
I simply reject the hypothesis of Jasper staying in her current state forever (corruption is different from anything else, you can't compare it with Bismuth or the Rubies). Even if Steven becomes more mature, it doesn't mean that he will just give up on her and let her die alone. The logic exposing the cruelty of this possibility is still there, and i don't think the Crewniverse would go for that. Even if he fails, Steven will atleast try to do something, like how he will do with all the other Corrupted Gems.
Objectively speaking she is in no way worse than any other Homeworld Gem - all Homeworld Gems are "specieist" to the extreme and believe in the superiority of Gems over all other lifeforms in the universe. Which, of course, included both Ruby, Sapphire and Pearl (who knows how many planets each of them devastated of all life prior to being converted by Rose?). The only thing that seperates Jasper from the rest is her aggressive warrior nature, which is probably something that is bred into all Quartz Warriors (again, worker ants vs. warrior ants).
If it sounds like I'm being biased against her, that's because I don't judge the characters on an objective basis. I judge them by their actions, and the implications they have. The way I see it, you want to be redeemed in my eyes? You have to EARN that redemption. Peridot earned it, Lapis earned it. But she hasn't.
The reason I keep saying, "What's my reason to like her" is because I honestly see no reason to like her as it stands. And that's a shame because part of the frustration is that...I WANT to like her! She has a cool voice, intimidating design, and unlike Peridot, was a great antagonist for the Crystal Gems as of this time. Not to mention, the Pink Diamond angle does give Steven new insight as to what happened during the war.
However, without a likable trait to work off of to give hope to her redemption, most of what was mentioned doesn't really matter. Sure, it makes her a better villain, but Rebecca herself says there's no true villain in the series.
But note: Part of what I keep saying is "As it stands", so that's not to say there's absolutely no hope at any point in the future. Just as of NOW, there is no reason to redeem her, nor does she want to be. And really, why should we force the possibility onto her? Is it REALLY any better than them forcing their will on us?
As I was saying, objectively speaking she is no more evil than the rest of Homeworld. Of course, the discussion wasn't even about Jasper in the first place: it was about whether or not the parasitic nature of Gems make them morally evil or not.
I've never denied liking Jasper. People who know me here on the Wiki can vouche for that!
However, that is just as irrelevant as your dislike of Jasper when it comes to, again, discussing whether or not Gems are morally evil. I'm not trying to excuse the actions of Jasper nor Homeworld. However, the question about the morality of the Gems as a whole is one I find very interesting - and that is why I was trying to discuss until you derailed it with your Muscle Waifu hate.

Point made. Though I must ask, "Muscle Waifu"? Seriously?
