It would be one thing if they'd had an episode dealing with Pumpkin passing away and Lapis' and Peridot's grief. That would be sometihing a lot of the kid audience can relate to. But to just have her disappear and then offhandedly say, "Oh, she's dead," and then POOF! she's not in the show anymore... Exactly like Ke2083 said - it's careless, it's flippant, it's just a bad decision overall.

"Pumpkins don't last forever." Yeah. Well, they also don't run around and bark. Weak sauce, guys. She's magic.

Also, when pumpkins. . . err, "stop lasting," they don't pass away peacefully in their sleep the way some old animals are lucky enough to do. They decay and rot and ferment. . . this is actually seriously disturbing if you think about it long enough.

I am ''very ''disappointed. (Love the Bismuth-Jasper-fight theory, though! There's an awesome fanfic in the making. :D)

It would be one thing if they'd had an episode dealing with Pumpkin passing away and Lapis's and Peridot's grief. That would be something a lot of the kid audience can relate to.

I am very disappointed.
