The Centipeetles are creatures that are produced by the Centipeetle Mother (a corrupted Nephrite). They made their debut in "Gem Glow" as the secondary antagonists of the episode.
Appearance
The Centipeetles are large, centipede-like entities that are produced by the corrupted Nephrite. They appear to be very similar to the corrupted Nephrite, sans the mane and crystal-like growth covering on each segment. The Centipeetles are smaller compared to the corrupted Nephrite, primarily composed of seven different segments. The upper portion of the Centipeetle is covered in a "chitinous", bumpy, dark green exoskeleton throughout its body, with a single pair of legs of the same color. The lower side of each segment is of a light green and slightly translucent with a yellow-green diamond shape in the middle of each of it. The head of the Centipeetle, unlike the corrupted Nephrite, has two colors, the upper portion, and upper mandible being dark green, and the lower portion and lower mandible a light green color. The Centipeetles have no gemstones of their own, and its eye is still located inside the base of the mandible. The last segment lacks a pair of legs but has a set of large, pincer-like cerci reminiscent of those belonging to earwigs.
Abilities
The Centipeetles share all of its abilities with the corrupted Nephrite, as such, the Centipeetles can shoot globs of a highly corrosive substance that can corrode almost anything. It also shares the ability to climb on sheer cliff faces. The Centipeetles are smaller than the corrupted Nephrite and are generally weaker. However, they are capable of functioning as a hive mind and can cooperate on certain tasks.
Trivia
