Chancellor Johnathan Bennett, better known by his stage name Chance the Rapper, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and activist. He is credited as a musical contributor to Steven Universe: The Movie.

Chance the Rapper is a hip hop artist from Chicago, Illinois, who made his career debut in 2012 with the release of his first mixtape 10 Day. Following the accolades and success garnered from his first release, Chance released his second mixtape, Acid Rap, in 2015, which had also been met with critical acclaim. Acid Rap featured a variety of featured artists including Childish Gambino and Vic Mensa. His third release, Coloring Book in 2016, featured more prominent rap artists, such as fellow Chicago native Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and 2 Chainz. Coloring Book would later win a Grammy in 2017 for Best Rap Album. Chance currently has a new release, The Big Day, which was released in July 2019.
