The Desert Glass is a Gem embedded inside a pillow. It first made an appearance in "Steven's Lion".
Appearance[]
The Desert Glass appears as a round, light green gemstone with a white edge embedded in a dull red pillow.
History[]
"Steven's Lion"[]
For an unknown reason she became aimless, and now creates pillars, stairs and walls randomly while in her element. When placed on sand, she creates a sandstorm and a fortress to protect herself. The Crystal Gems retrieved her from a desert, not knowing that the glass had a Lion guardian. Amethyst decided to hold on to her because she was the one who stopped them. Because Amethyst failed to contain her immediately, Steven accidentally set her off in the sand on the beach near the Crystal Temple. After Lion and Steven recovered her, the Desert Glass was finally bubbled by Pearl.
"Buddy's Book"[]
During Buddy Buddwick's travels, he was told by Amethyst to look in the Desert for the "Sand Castle", one that keeps rebuilding itself. This is most likely the Desert Glass's Sand Fortress.
Abilities[]
- Psammokinesis: The Desert Glass possesses strong control over sand, so long as she is in contact with it; building a fortress, creating pillars, ledges, spikes, and masking herself in massive and powerful sandstorms.
