Trivia[]
- It is revealed in "Competing and Comparing Looks" that Sardonyx is 20 feet tall.
- In "Social Media", it acknowledges that Stevonnie is "an experience" and an intersex/non-binary individual who uses "they/them" pronouns.
- Stevonnie's social media page in "Social Media" shows images/videos from various episodes including: "Beach City Drift", "Alone Together", "Mindful Education", "Jungle Moon", and "Gem Karaoke".
- The characters' usernames in "Social Media" have a few references:
- Garnet's social media username is "OGRupphireFan". This a reference to the ship name for Ruby and Sapphire used by the fandom.
- Pearl's social media username is "R3n3gad3P3arl", a reference to her status as a traitor to the Gem Homeworld. She was referred to as a "terrifying renegade Pearl" in "The Answer".
- Greg's social media username is "Guitar_DoD", a reference to "Shirt Club".
- Amethyst's social media username is "Real_Amethyst8XM", a reference to her serial facet number as revealed in "That Will Be All".
- The version of "Social Media" posted by Cartoon Network on Twitter is a version shortened by 30 seconds, leaving out the part where Stevonnie shows they reblogged/posted a post about Intersex, and admits to not actually using social media.[2]
Cultural references[]
- Stevonnie's social media page is a parody of Instagram.
Errors[]
"We Deserve to Shine"
- Both Ruby's and Sapphire's gemstones are missing in "We Deserve To Shine", although they are present on Garnet.
- When Steven and Connie fuse in "We Deserve To Shine", Steven's Ukulele disappears.
- In "We Deserve To Shine" Stevonnie's gemstone has the wrong number of facets, resembling more like a Carnelian gemstone, rather than a Rose Quartz Gemstone.
"Social Media"
- In "Social Media", when Stevonnie picks up the tablet, they pick it up upside down. However, the camera on the other side is placed where it would be if they picked it up right side up.
- In "Social Media" Stevonnie's gemstone has the same error as in "We Deserve to Shine", where it resembles more of a Carnelian gemstone, rather than a Rose Quartz Gemstone.
"Body Functionality"
- In "Body Functionality", the colors on Garnet's legs are swapped and she has two of Sapphire's gemstones on her palms, even though she should have Ruby's gemstone on her left hand.
- Opal's leggings are shin-length, something that was not present during her regeneration from "Log Date 7 15 2", which is used here.
