The Drill Parasites are creatures that made their debut in "Arcade Mania".
Appearance
Drill Parasites are baby blue in color and are shaped like small drills. They look similar to starfish when unraveled, and even have a red opening in the middle of their undersides, akin to that of a real starfish.
History
"Arcade Mania"
After the defeat of the bigger Gem Cave Creature, the drill parasites managed to escape by drilling away into the ground. They returned when Steven was scanning the beach for quarters, and infested the city. It took all day for Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst to destroy them all.
Trivia
- When they drill into the ground, they can multiply into more parasites.
- This may be a reference to how starfish limbs split from the body, they form more starfish.
- They were referenced in "Keep Beach City Weird" when Steven asked about the holes on the side of the temple and what caused such holes.
- In Attack the Light, there are starfish-shaped Light Creatures which resemble the unfurled drill parasites.
