Ian Jones-Quartey was the supervising director of Steven Universe from the Pilot up until June 2015, when he stepped aside to focus on other projects. He is best known for being the co-creator of the online series NockFORCE and currently being the voice of Wallow for Pendleton Ward's online series Bravest Warriors.
Previously, he was a storyboard revisionist/supervisor of Adventure Time, a storyboard artist on Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, and an art director for The Venture Bros and SuperNormal. He is also the creator of Lakewood Plaza Turbo, an upcoming series set to premiere in 2015. His last day working on Steven Universe was May 29, 2015, but he has worked on many episodes that have yet to premiere.

Jones-Quartey attended the School of Visual Arts, in New York City.

Trivia
- The idea of a Steven Universe-Uncle Grandpa crossover, which later happened in the form of "Say Uncle", originated as a joke in one of his storyboards on April Fools.[2]
- Ian stated on his Twitter that he and the Steven Universe Staff have nothing against "risqué" fanart, and that he actually likes it.[3]
- He is famous for voicing the character Wallow in the YouTube show Bravest Warriors, he also voices some characters in Steven Universe (like Mr. Queasy).
- May 29, 2015 was his final day working on Steven Universe.[4] However, he has worked on many episodes that have yet to premiere.
- According to his Twitter, he is currently working on an as of yet unannounced "secret project".
