• Jersey is based on the real-world state of New Jersey, United States. For unknown reasons, the "New" in the name was dropped. It is unknown what the island in the real world as Jersey is called or if it exists.
  • The "New" may have been dropped due to the way residents of New Jersey colloquially drop the "New" when mentioning their state by name to others, and as a way to separate Jersey from the real-life state.
• According to Steven, the people who live there hate the Earth as much as Lapis. This is likely a reference to New Jersey's famous levels of pollution.
• Greg told Steven that the rest stops in Jersey used to be disgusting, but now they are improved and sell sushi.
