Lyrics
If I could begin to be Half of what you think of me I could do about anything I could even learn how to love When I see the way you act Wondering when I'm coming back I could do about anything I could even learn how to love like you Love like you I always thought I might be bad Now I'm sure that it's true 'cause I think you're so good And I'm nothing like you Look at you go I just adore you I wish that I knew What makes you think I'm so special If I could begin to do Something that does right by you I would do about anything I would even learn how to love When I see the way you look Shaken by how long it took I could do about anything I could even learn how to love like you Love like you Love me like you |
Lyrical differences
- In the ending theme and Sugar's performance, the second line of the second verse is "Wondering when I'm coming back". When sung by Thu Tran at Aivi & Surasshu's show, the line was "Wondering if I'm coming back".
- In the official soundtrack version, the brief distorted verse before "I always thought I might be bad" doubles in length and contains one more "Like you".

Trivia
- Rebecca Sugar stated at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 that "Love Like You" has no particular character in mind and is meant to be freely interpreted.
- In a 2017 SDCC interview, Sugar stated that when she started writing "Love Like You," she thought of it as about an alien who is loved by a human but doesn't themselves have the capacity to love. However, after people had frequently thanked Sugar for creating Steven Universe, she felt both confused and inspired by their gratitude, and she instead thought of "Love Like You" as about the people who love her and her difficulty expressing love to them in return due to her insecurity.[1]
