Matt Burnett is a writer on the show Steven Universe. Matt and his writing partner Ben Levin write the outlines for each episode, as well as working with the storyboard artists on their scripts during pitches.[1]
Trivia
- Matt is notoriously known across the fandom as a joking guy, occasionally posting false information and even misinformation about the show.
- Although he can be very sarcastic, he is usually serious and the information he provides is more or less reliable.
- On the other hand, he tries not to talk about stuff the show hasn't covered yet,[2] and when he does answer those sorts of questions, his answers generally aren't serious, and serious answers tend to be phrased as hypothetical statements about what would seem likely or unlikely based on the information that's already been revealed on the show (such as the statement that separate Ruby or Sapphire fusions seem unlikely because they prefer to stay fused as Garnet)[3].
- He doesn't like getting questions about leaks, and has a policy of not confirming leak rumours.[4]
- After the final episode of the second StevenBomb aired, Matt teased a third StevenBomb for July via his Twitter account.[5]
