I am aware of that, however not all gems resemble their real life counterparts. Our jasper's gem doesn't have the red stripes or blue spots that real jaspers have. I believe all of the pink spots on ocean jasper are corruption scars similair to jasper's blue spots, so it wouldn't make sense for them to be only on the gem and nowhere else. I'm assuming that after being corrupted for too long, the gems start getting spots as well. We've never seen gems with natural splotches on the gem itself despite them having them on their skin.
