As an older, more experienced user of the wiki in comparison to the majority of the userbase, I am disappointed by your behaviour on the voting forums. As this is also not your first block worthy violation, I shall be blocking you for a week. Please use this time to re read the rules.
Please be mindful of the edits you are making to a page. You should, if not already, make use of the preview widget to see that the edit you are making will appear suitable when you are finished.
My reasoning for this message is this. On the page Sworn to the Sword, you edited to add another template in, but in the process removed the vital episode template which categorises the page as an episode page. We cannot monitor every single edit made on the wiki, so we trust the editors to make their edits responsibly.
We won't do anything other than warn you this time, but please, please make sure you check the quality and output of your edits before you press publish. Thank you.
Number 1) literally do not bother with paying for photoshop if you just want to make an image transparent. Use GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) instead, it's completely free, does 90% of the functions people buy photoshop for, and runs on computers as old as those running windows xp. you can get it from here -> https://www.gimp.org/downloads/
Number 2) Making an image transparent yourself is very simple. It's literally two steps and also can be done in GIMP as easily as its done in photoshop by selecting the part you want to make transparent, creating an Alpha channel (which enables parts of the image to become transparent) and then converting the selection to alpha (transparency). Very simple, many tutorials online also exist for it. It really shouldn't take a "few days".
Number 3) NO, the transparent image format is not JPEG, but is a PNG. JPEGs cannot be transparent ever, nor can you edit them to be transparent. Save an image as .PNG if you want it to be transparent. Uploading as a GIF file would also up the file size and may cause the image to load more slowly on older devices.
Number 4) sis why you out here making pngs in ms paint it's the worst program for making pngs ever it literally has no transparency options and no stability and not even the ability to rotate text please use a better program many exist online namely one i just linked above.
It can be done in paint.net or any other program that has transparent background support by using the erase tool, it takes no longer than a few minutes. Do not save it as a gif, as it just inflates the file size.
Uhh I still don't understand. When I typed paint.net all I got was some job about painting. I was using paint the app. If u do mean the app then I'll see this erase tool unless you mean the rubber then it just saves it as a white background. I'll let you know if I need help later thanks.
EDIT: Checked it out. It does mean the rubber. I'll check that GIMP thing out.
I'm sorry to say that you have been blocked from editing for a day due to repeated violations. A few of the comments you made have been deemed insubstantial and 'spammy.' While using the forums, I ask that you please keep threads on topic and do not make random or unnecessary replies.
