The Moon Goddess Statue is a statue that made its first appearance in "Cheeseburger Backpack".
Appearance
The statue appears to depict a woman with long venice-blue hair. The body has a light slate-gray color and ends in a sharp white point similar to a polished diamond's culet on the base. Its hands are grasping a diamond-shaped object. The statue's face has thick lips like Garnet's, a nose, and closed eyes.
Abilities
The statue is used to protect the Lunar Sea Spire from falling apart and preserve the Sea Spire's power.
History
"Cheeseburger Backpack"
Steven convinces the Crystal Gems to bring him on an important mission concerning the Moon Goddess statue and the Lunar Sea Spire. Pearl states that it must be placed at the top of the Sea Spire before midnight, or the Spire will fall apart.
Steven chooses to carry the statue in his novelty Cheeseburger Backpack. However, when it was time to use it, Steven realizes he forgot the statue at home. To substitute, he uses his plush toy, Mr. Queasy, to replace it, to no avail.
"The Test"
The statue fell out of Steven's closet as he was looking for more board games to play with the Gems. Steven is reminded of his mistake, causing Pearl to reveal that the whole Lunar Sea Spire mission was a test for him, leading him to ask for a new test.
"Buddy's Book"
While traveling around the world, Buddy Buddwick ends up at the Lunar Sea Spire at some point, encountering the statue, drawing it in his journal.
Steven Universe: The Movie
The statue can be seen adorning Steven's room on a shelf.
Trivia
- It appears in the Cartoon Network mobile game, Gem Bound, as a power-up that Steven uses to protect him from the creatures while jumping from one platform to another.
- In Attack the Light, there is a badge named after the Moon Goddess Statue. It will raise both Pearl and Amethyst's defenses by 25%.
- With the Moon Goddess Statue's gemstone resembling White Diamond's gem, it is likely that she was in someway the inspiration for it.
