Pearl's Tree is a cherry blossom tree that first appeared in "Gem Glow", and was seen again (and later destroyed by Holo-Pearl) in "Steven the Sword Fighter". It was Pearl's favorite tree. The exact location of the tree was never specified.

Appearance

It was a full grown tree with dark-colored bark, consistently shown in bloom, with bright pink blossoms filling its branches.

History

"Gem Glow"

Pearl took Steven to the tree to teach him how to summon a weapon from his gem. She used the falling petals to illustrate the process of summoning her spear.

"Steven the Sword Fighter"

Steven brought Holo-Pearl to the tree to try to teach it how to be like Pearl. Much to his dismay, the hologram cut the tree down with a balloon sword. It has not been shown in any other episodes as it was likely destroyed for good.

Trivia

• Pearl's tree is based on cherry blossom trees that usually grow in Japan and China.
• The cover of Steven Universe #01 (BOOM! Studios Exclusive Cover), drawn by Steven Sugar, shows Pearl training Steven with sword fighting on the stump of her favorite tree.
• While Holo-Pearl destroyed the tree, Pearl has not reacted to the loss of it, at least not on-screen.
