'P'ermafusion (a portmanteau of "permanent fusion") is the name given to the act of two or more Gems spending most or all of their time fused with each other. Permafusion is often an expression of romantic or otherwise close relationships. A Gem fusion who engages in permafusion is also called such.

The term was coined by Peridot in "Too Far" to describe Garnet.

Known Permafusions

Garnet
- Consists of a married Ruby and Sapphire
- Current leader of the Crystal Gems
Topazes
- Pre-Era 3 Homeworld's Caste System allowed pairs of Topazes to remain fused even outside of combat.
- Topaz
  - Appears to reside in Little Homeworld (according to "Little Homeschool")
- Chamber Guard Topaz (possibly)
  - Guards Yellow Diamond's bubble chamber
Rhodonite
- Consists of a Ruby and a Pearl
- Member of the Off Colors
- Member of the crew of the Sun Incinerator
Fluorite
- Consists of six unspecified Gems
- Member of the Off Colors
- Member of the crew of the Sun Incinerator
Lemon Jade
- Consists of two different jades, a "Cat Ear" Jade and "Flipped Bob" Jade
Crazy Lace Agate
- A citizen of Little Homeworld
- Member of the Crystal Gems
